Select material and material thickness:
Ms63 (CW508L / Cu Zn37 / 2.0321)
Standard alloy for brass sheets. Well suited for cold forming. Easily hardened and soft soldered.
Short information about the materials:
Brass is an alloy of copper (at least 50%) and zinc (up to 45%). Other metals can be included in small amounts to adjust certain properties (e.g. up to 3% lead for better machinability). As the zinc content increases, the color lightens from brownish-reddish (20%) to yellow at MS 63 (37% zinc) to light yellow. Brass can be easily processed mechanically by sawing, turning, milling and drilling. It is easy to polish. As the copper content increases, brass becomes easier to cold form.
